37th Annual Taste of the Bluegrass set to kick off Friday eveningMay 19, 2017 36Pab, LEXINGTON, Ky. WTVQ Organizers are expecting over 1,000 people Friday evening, as the 2017 Taste of the Bluegrass kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at Keeneland Keene Barn and Entertainment Center on Versailles Road.The event showcases the best food and drinks Central Kentucky has to offer. The party features an innovative variety of foods and creative drinks provided by some of the area top restaurants, caterers, bakeries, and beverage producers, along with a live band and silent auction.θ½ Taste of the Bluegrass raises money for God Pantry Food Bank.Last stanley cup year Taste of the Bluegrass event generated more than $165,000, which God Pantry Food Bank put right to work. For every $10 given, the Food Bank is able to distribute enough food for more than 82 meals. That means more than 1 million meals found their way to families in need as a result of the Taste of the Bluegrass last year.This year featured band is The Fever Band.
